Manchester’s Premiere Pup Event

Kennel Klub North

Kennel Klub North

The original Kennel Klub, now the largest pup event in the UK, based in the heart of Manchester at BarPop. Since March 2016, we’ve been offering a fun, safe, and welcoming space for human pups to be themselves in the heart of Manchester’s gay village. It features cushioned play mats which are very easy on the knees, our own private bar, toys, treats and dedicated DJ. You are welcome at Kennel Klub regardless of your gender identity, sexuality or race.

But we’re more than just a monthly get together. We’re a community. Over the past ten years, we’ve taken our paws on trips to Alton Towers, marched in Manchester Pride parade, pulled Santa’s sleigh and more!

Frequently asked Borks

Kennel Klub is held on the first Saturday of every month in Manchester at BarPop on Canal Street. from 1pm till 5pm. See the upcoming events at the bottom of the page, and links to add them to your own calendar!

You can usually find some waggy licky puppers and doggos in Via next door from around 12pm for the Kennel Klub pre-meet.

You might be thinking that to be a pup and attend Kennel Klub you’ll need the very latest in chic Milano pup fashion; But you couldn’t be more wrong.

A simple t-shirt, jeans and knee pads is all it takes. Obviously many pups do choose to add a hood, harnesses, bandana, latex clothing, fursuits, collars and/or mitts; but to enjoy yourself and to let out your inner pup none of that is needed. Pop along to a kennel klub and see for yourself!

Here at Kennel Klub, we take pride in being an all-inclusive and welcoming event.

That means that whoever you are, however you identify, and whatever your build, we are here to make you feel welcome in a judgement-free place with a fantastic, friendly atmosphere.

Our staff and organizers are here to help you get acquainted!

So whether you’re new to the scene, or a veteran, Kennel Klub welcomes you!

Kennel Klub is a jedgement free, space for anyone who want to explore or learn about human pup play. We have many animals attend Kennel Klub from all walks of life: humans, pups, dogs, wolves, kittens, cats, foxes and everything in between. We’re all one big welcoming family.

  • Ask first if you’re unsure; someone may be new like you and unsure how or what to do
  • Respect the venue: We know you puppers like playing and having fun but please don’t chew the chair legs or jump on the tables or anything that may damage the venue
  • Awoos will be fined 1 belly rub or scritch

We are all-inclusive and you do not need to be a pup to go; there are many handlers or humans who are curious and still exploring and finding out what type of animal they are or even if they are a handler.

Code of Conduct

We have a few rules we ask everyone to keep in mind while they are at Kennel Klub. We want everyone to have fun!

Where to find us

Kennel Klub North is held at the lovely Bar Pop which is central on Canal Street – the LGBT district in Manchester.

A pre-meet is usually held at Via which is just a couple doors down on the same street.

When weather permits, we tend to go on walkies towards Sackville Gardens over the canal.

Canal Street is a few minutes walk from local hotels, Manchester Coach Station and about 10 minutes walk to the nearest tram and National Rail stations.

Support Us

Kennel Klub is a free event for everyone to attend. If you wish to support us, please see our Ko-Fi page.
